Photoshoot with Båssanova

A few weeks back, I got to do a cool photoshoot with Båssanova (aka Tom Båssar), a DJ from Vaasa.
Right away, it was clear he had a specific idea for the shoot and I was happy to capture that vision.
We set out to capture the style he wanted and tried out a few lighting set-ups at the footbridge in Palosaari, Vaasa.
The lights on the bridge kept changing colour, so we could create a different vibe in the pictures.
Båssanova was super happy with the result, as was I. I had lots of fun doing this shoot.
Being able to create something that perfectly captures the client’s vision make me love my job even more.

Båssanova (aka Tom Båssar) is a long-standing DJ known from a wide range of events from local parties in Western Finland to big open air dance festivals abroad. His performances are inspired by his deep connection to different electronic music styles, with house music being the most essential. Besides this, his extensive record collection with jazz, pop, soul, hiphop, techno, r’n’b, disco and house music witnesses his love for music across genres.
